We believe that education is the key to the prevention of animal abuse and neglect. We at the Sanctuary are available to speak and present informative displays to schools, clubs and a wide variety of related civic programs. The Sanctuary farm, high in the hills of Chelsea, provides the ideal environment for our children’s summer camp and a variety of hands-on animal clinics covering subjects such as hoof trimming, symptom detection and general care and maintenance. It is our continuing mission to educate and to be an important resource to our community.

Help A Horse Day
Every year, The Hooved Animal Sanctuary participates in the ASPCA's annual Help a Horse Day to raise awareness for abused and neglected animals across the country. Help a Horse Day occurs during the month of April. Keep an eye on our events page on Facebook to see when this year's event will take place!

A fun and leisurely ride. Entry fee includes over seven miles of picturesque trails, lunch, and the chance to pick a winning hand from five stops along the way. A wonderful way to contribute to the cause.

Summer days are special days for friends of the Sanctuary; a chance to enjoy the animals and have casual get-togethers. At times we’ll schedule educational demonstrations, clinics or other events of interest.
